My latest idea was to focus on the finer details of the many examples of wonderful architecture around Munich. Shooting black & white film I looked for different textures and patterns in what was otherwise a very cloudy and dull day.

My next post sees me trying out the technique of ‘pushing film’ to allow me to shoot handheld during the night. We go for a walk around Innsbruck, Austria shooting a roll of Kodak Tri-X rated at ISO 1600.

My first post of this new series sees me exploring the great German outdoors in search of minimalist landscapes. I head towards the town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen in southern Bavaria and end up on Germany’s highest peak. Come find out more about my new project!

There is more to Oktoberfest than the massive beer halls, in fact it is one of the world’s largest amusement parks. What better place to try out another “day versus night” type post, so come join me for some bright neon lights and lots of fun!

As a follow-on from a similar shoot I did in Frankfurt, here are my impressions of the architectural wonder that is Munich's subway, U-Bahn München. Join me for a very early trip around some wonderful, awe inspiring, and sometimes downright scary scenes.

I took a stroll around Munich's Olympia Park with a roll of Rollei infrared film with some decent results. Join me for some unusual shots of this wonderful park and sporting venue. 

The week I moved to Munich there was an international rowing regatta being held at the rowing lake I will be rowing on in future, what a great opportunity to go check out the action and enjoy the sun...along with a roll of trustworthy Ilford FP4 film.

After a very successful first blog post about rowing in Frankfurt I decided to take advantage of the good weather and take out another disposable camera for a slightly different route. Join me for some sunrise action on Frankfurt's Main river.

In this post we go for a long walk around the block with the trustworthy Ilford FP4+ armed with two fantastic medium format cameras and two analogue geeks (me +1!). We search for good light, architectural minimalism, and fun compositions.
